Integrations

Talk to your money. Connect Ledgy to any AI assistant that speaks Model Context Protocol.

Quick start for Claude

  1. Open Claude → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Name: Ledgy.
  3. Server URL: https://api.ledgy.app/mcp.
  4. Click Add → sign in with Apple → grant access.
  5. Open any chat → enable Ledgy under the connectors menu → ask away.

Works in Claude.ai and Claude Desktop. Mobile clients that support custom MCP connectors will also work.

Quick start for ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT (web) → click your profile picture → Settings → Apps.
  2. Scroll to Advanced settings → toggle Developer mode on.
  3. Click Create next to Advanced settings.
  4. Name: Ledgy. MCP Server URL: https://api.ledgy.app/mcp. Authentication: OAuth (auto-discovered).
  5. Click Create → sign in with Apple → grant access.
  6. In any chat, open the composer's tools menu () → pick Ledgy → ask away.

Developer mode is in beta and available to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education accounts on the web. Workspace admins must enable Developer mode at the workspace level first (Permissions & Roles → Connected Data → Developer mode / Create custom MCP connectors). ChatGPT will show a confirmation prompt before any write action (e.g. adding a transaction).

What you can ask

  • "What did I spend on coffee last month?" — aggregation by category over a date range.
  • "Add a €12 lunch at Pret to my Wise account from yesterday." — single transaction create with merchant, amount, currency, and date parsing.
  • "Transfer 200 EUR from Wise Personal to Cash." — cross-account transfer with optional cross-currency FX.
  • "How does my April spending compare to March?" — multi-period aggregation in your primary currency.
  • "Find every transaction over €100 in May." — filtered transaction search.
  • "Show my top 5 categories this quarter." — top-N aggregation.
  • "What's my Santander balance right now?" — live balance using the same formula as the mobile app.
  • "Reconcile Santander to 616 EUR — my bank app shows that." — one-shot adjustment to align Ledgy with an external figure.

What Ledgy can do

  • Read your accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, groups, and tags.
  • Add or edit transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, and recurring rules.
  • Move money between accounts, including cross-currency transfers with FX.
  • Convert currencies at live ECB rates.
  • Attach receipts (server-side fetch from a public URL) and fetch a signed download URL.
  • Compute live account balances and reconcile against an external figure.

Privacy & control

  • The assistant only sees data you ask about. We don't push your full ledger to Anthropic or OpenAI on connection.
  • You sign in with Apple. We never see your Apple ID password.
  • Disconnect any time from your client's Settings → Connectors (Claude, ChatGPT, or any other MCP client). Revoking access takes effect immediately.

Other clients

Ledgy works with any MCP-compatible client — Cursor, Continue, custom desktop apps, and others. The setup is the same: add the MCP server URL https://api.ledgy.app/mcp, complete the OAuth sign-in, and start asking. Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591) means no manual credential exchange is required.
